The 49ers got some help from some well known movie characters to announce the selection of former N.C. State defensive end Kentavius Street in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

It was a promotion for the upcoming movie “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, which is being helmed by famed director Ron Howard. Props to the bit where the kid was “translating” R2D2’s chirps and beeps.
As for Street, he joins the 49ers after his tenure at N.C. State, where he started along with Bradley Chubb on the defensive line. As a senior in 2017, he made 38 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks, ending his career with 120 tackles, 19.0 tackles for a loss and 8.0 sacks.
The 49ers finished the 2017 season with a mark of 6-10. They hope that a player like Street can help them improve in 2018 – and beyond.
