NC State and 4-star 2018 forward Saddiq Bey have parted ways, according to several reports. Bey becomes the top unsigned 2018 basketball prospect as a result of the decommitment.
The news came on the same day Kentucky transfer Sacha Killeya-Jones committed to NC State. Killeya-Jones won’t be eligible to play in 2018-19, but will have two years remaining after that. It’s unclear of Killeya-Jones’ decision played a role in Bey’s.
Bey originally opted for NC State over Miami, Pittsburgh, Xavier and Northwestern. Because Bey signed his letter of intent, he likely won’t be able to sign with a different ACC school.
Bey is the No. 129 overall player and No. 32 small forward in 247Sports’ composite rankings.
