North Carolina handled Arkansas 87-68 on Friday in the semifinals of the PK80 Invitational to move to 5-0 on the season.
Tar Heels junior forward Luke Maye had a tremendous double-double performance, going for career-highs in points (28) and rebounds (16).
According to ESPN Stats and Info, Maye made some history after his most recent outing in what’s been an excellent start to the season for the team and himself.

You know you’re doing something right when you’re being mentioned in the same vein as Jamison, who was the National Player of the Year in 1998 for the Tar Heels.
Maye is averaging 19.5 points and 9.5 rebounds this season. Maye now already has three double-doubles on the year to begin his junior campaign.
The Tar Heels will play either Michigan State or UConn in the “Victory Bracket” title game of the tournament on Sunday night in Portland, Oregon.
