Former North Carolina baseball pitcher Andrew Miller closed out the 88th MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday night.
And afterward, he donned a pair of North Carolina basketball shorts and made a comment comparing what his Cleveland Indians are chasing this season to what the Tar Heels basketball team did this season.
The Indians lost the World Series last season, in a close, hard-fought series not all that different from the buzzer-beating loss that the Tar Heels took in the national championship game two seasons ago against Villanova.
UNC got the job done this season and Miller told reporters he’s hoping the Indians can follow that same path.

The Indiana lost the World Series last season in seven games to the Chicago Cubs in a battle between two teams that hadn’t won a championship in decades.
UNC, which lost to Villanova in April 2016, bounced back to win the national title in 2017 by beating Gonzaga.
