Notre Dame coach Mike Brey casually sported a t-shirt, shorts and a pair of tennis shoes while coaching during the Maui Invitational championship in Hawaii on Wednesday night.
After beating Wichita State 67-66 to win the tournament, Brey decided to lose the shirt and add a lei to his get-up to celebrate in the locker room.
And you thought Maui Mike Brey’s sideline attire was casual …

Good thing Brey’s little celebration stunt came before Thanksgiving dinner.
In addition to Brey in the locker room, the Irish flexed their muscles on the court with an impressive comeback victory Wednesday night. Notre Dame led for just 22 seconds in the game, but the Irish overcame a 14-point halftime deficit to knock off the No. 6 team in the country.
Senior forward Bonzie Colson led Notre Dame with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Fellow senior forward Martinas Geben scored 12 points, including making 2 free throws in the final seconds to give the Irish their first lead since very early in the first half.
Notre Dame improved to 6-0 this season, and Wichita State dropped to 4-1 with the loss. The Irish will next play No. 4 Michigan State, who has only lost to No. 1 Duke, in the Big Ten/ACC challenge on Nov. 30.
