Pyne is a 4-star quarterback in the Class of 2020 who already has two years of starting experience on the varsity despite just being a rising junior. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound signal caller is considered a pro-style quarterback and 247Sports ranks him as the No. 220 player in the country in his class.
After throwing for 4,702 yards and 51 touchdowns in the past two seasons, Pyne chooses Notre Dame over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma and Penn State, to name a few.
Notre Dame does not currently have a commitment in the Class of 2019, but they did add another blue-chip prospect in the Class of 2018 with Pennsylvania quarterback Phil Jurkovec. Pyne will first be eligible to sign his national letter of intent in the winter of 2019, so the Irish will have plenty of work to do to hold onto his commitment until then.
