Ateman, 23, played at Oklahoma State for four seasons from 2014-2017. He finished his college career with 2,466 receiving yards, highlighted by 1,156 yards and eight touchdowns during his senior season. He ranks sixth all-time in Oklahoma State receiving yards.
Ateman isn’t the only noteworthy Big 12 player that is getting his chance with the Raiders. Former TCU quarterback Kenny Hill, also coming off his senior season last fall, signed with Oakland as an undrafted free agent following the 2018 NFL Draft.
Oakland begins preseason play vs. the Detroit Lions on Friday, Aug. 10. The Raiders start the regular season against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday, Sept. 10.
