Welcome to the Monday edition of our Oklahoma State DieHards morning roundup, where we take you through the biggest headlines around Oklahoma State athletics.

Cowboys add 2 commitments

Oklahoma State football added two commitments to its 2019 class over the weekend.

The Cowboys, who are now up to nine verbal commitments, received pledges from 3-star cornerback Xavier Player and unrated linebacker Na’Drian Dizadare.

Player, a 6-foot, 166-pound prospect, mostly received interest from smaller FBS programs before the Cowboys offered the Cibolo, Texas, product on June 6. Player quickly jumped on the Power 5 offer to bolster the Cowboys defensive recruiting.

On the other hand, Dizadare is a little-known prospect from Shreveport, La. He took an official visit to Oklahoma State over the weekend, and he’s now on board for 2019, according to’s Zachary Lancaster.

Daton Fix loses at Final X

Oklahoma State freshman wrestler Daton Fix fell twice to Thomas Gilman at the Final X wrestling event Saturday night in Lincoln, Neb., ending his remarkable run through the World Team qualifying stage.

Fix lost 6-3 in the first match and 2-1 in the second match to Gilman, the former Iowa wrestler who was a three-time All-American.

Fix will compete as a freshman next season for the Cowboys after redshirting during the 2017-18 season.
