Oklahoma State continues recruiting momentum on defense; men’s basketball reunion set for August

Welcome to the Tuesday edition of our Oklahoma State DieHards morning roundup, where we take you through the biggest headlines around Oklahoma State athletics.

Oklahoma State lands Thomas Harper

Knoxville (Tenn.) Karns cornerback/athlete Thomas Harper needed only a few days to think about the Oklahoma State offer he received last Wednesday.

The 2-star 2019 prospect — and younger brother of Oklahoma State linebacker Devin Harper — committed to the Cowboys on Monday.

The younger Harper, who measures 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds, doesn’t have much interest from other FBS programs. But the Cowboys see something in the athlete, and he adds to the program’s recent momentum on the recruiting front.

Harper tested well at the Cowboys’ recent summer minicamp, which included several high-profile recruits, according to GoPokes.com.

The Cowboys are up to 10 commitments for 2019 and own the No. 33-ranked recruiting class in the country.

Men’s basketball reunion set for August

Oklahoma State men’s basketball announced its Alumni Reunion is scheduled for Aug. 2-3 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The reunion will be the program’s final activity before leaving for its European trip on Aug. 4.
