Oklahoma State University announced it will unveil a ‘Remember the 4′ memorial in honor of former Cowgirls basketball coach Kurt Budke, assistant Miranda Serna and Oklahoma State supporters Olin and Paula Branstetter, according to a release.
The public is invited to the university’s dedication ceremony of the ‘Remember the 4’ memorial at 3 p.m., Thursday, on the northeast side of the OSU Athletics Center.
Budke, Serna and the Branstetters died in a plane crash on Nov. 17, 2011 during a recruiting trip.

“This memorial will be a lasting tribute to four wonderful individuals who touched the lives of so many. OSU will always ‘Remember the 4’ and extends its support and thoughts to the families and friends of Kurt Budke, Miranda Serna, and Olin and Paula Branstetter,” Oklahoma State President Burns Hargis said in a statement.
The memorial will hold four panels with illuminated images of each individual with an in memoriam script provided by the respective individual’s family. Stone benches will also accompany each panel to allow visitors a space to reflect on the lives of the four.
The Remember the 4 memorial was created to honor the four’s lives and highlight their commitment to Oklahoma State University.
