Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is one of the most confident players in college football, so it’s hardly a surprise that he expects big things from his team the rest of the season.
The Sooners made the 2015 College Football Playoff, but Mayfield was injured in Oklahoma’s semifinal loss to Clemson.
Baker Mayfield proclaims a CFP playoff return
Mayfield expects a different result this season, according to comments he made to reporters at the Sooners’ media session on Monday.
The Sooners have been lucky this season with each of their last three games being settled on the final possession. Oklahoma has won two of them. The Sooners host Texas Tech on Saturday night.
But with a tough schedule looming, Mayfield sees much room for improvement to achieve his ultimate goal for his senior season.
