Baker Mayfield posted on the internet Wednesday a hilarious re-creation of NFL legend Brett Favre’s goofy, jorts-wearing draft day photo from 1991.
And on Thursday morning, the Hall of Fame quarterback had a fantastic response.
Good luck tonight….and remember to send my Jorts back tomorrow.

Mayfield has drawn comparisons to Favre, a similar passer in college who drew criticism for his outsized personality. That led to Mayfield pulling together friends and family to make a parody of Favre’s iconic draft photo.
“There are those people who are in your corner no matter what, you can’t do any wrong, even when you do wrong. And then there are those people that no matter what you do they’re going to dislike you and that’s not going to change.” – Brett Favre #DraftEve #MMO pic.twitter.com/6bCE9SxqI6

And they went all-out for it. According to ESPN’s Jake Trotter, the Mayfield family had wanted to re-create the Favre photo for a long time. They had to get it right, pulling out Mayfield’s old Little League photos while putting up wood paneling wallpaper to get the look perfect.
But while Mayfield spent the day before the draft emulating Favre, his draft day could be very different. In 1991, Favre dropped out of the first round, eventually going No. 33 overall to the Atlanta Falcons. But this year, Mayfield could hear his name at the very top of the draft.
Buzz has built over the last several days connecting Mayfield to the Cleveland Browns’ No. 1 overall pick. While some GMs have told reporters they believe Mayfield will be the top pick, not everyone is buying it. We’ll find out the truth Thursday night when the 2018 NFL Draft begins.
