Knighton is Oklahoma’s third commit in the class of 2020, along with offensive lineman Andrew Raym of Broken Arrow (OK) and Jase McClellan of Aledo (TX).
The Sooners have had one of the best recruiting days of their entire offseason on Friday. They secured commitments from wide receivers Theo Wease and Arjei Henderson, as well as safety Jamal Morris. All three of the previous commits have been rated four stars or higher by every major recruiting service.
Oklahoma soars in recruiting ratings after mammoth Friday showing
Recruiting stars don’t mean everything, but they remain the best metric of evaluating future college football success. Friday’s success pushed Oklahoma’s class of 2019 to No. 2 in the nation per Rivals.com. With the way Friday went, the Sooners’ Class of 2020 should be not too far behind.
