Just a little less than two months after de-committing, Derek Green has renewed his pledge to the Oklahoma Sooners for the Class of 2019.
Green, a 3-star defensive tackle, announced his decision to recommit to Oklahoma on Twitter.
I just wanted to say thanks for the thoughts and prayers to everyone that's supporting me but I know what's best for me and I can feel it…so I'm going back home😈😈 see you in a few Norman cuz I'm coming @LincolnRiley @RuffinMcNeill @UncleGreenSWO @SWO_Stallions1 @kravekenz pic.twitter.com/VWLghdEuZE

His decision to stick with the Sooners is a positive for Oklahoma. Green is a very big prospect, at 6-foot-5 and 309 pounds, and should be a physical presence in the Big 12. He hails from Southwest High School in Jacksonville, N.C., and is the 23rd-ranked player in the state, according to 247Sports.
The Sooners were competing against Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia for Green’s commitment. Oklahoma had the No. 4 class in 2019 before this latest news. Green will be the second defensive lineman in the Sooners’ class, behind fellow 3-star Kori Roberson, who plays defensive end.
