Former Oklahoma point guard Trae Young signed with adidas, the company announced Tuesday.
Young was courted by all of the major brands, as well as Puma, which is returning to the basketball shoe game.
Details were not immediately available, but Adam Zagoria reports Young’s endorsement deal could be “worth upwards of $1.8 million annually.”
Former Miami Hurricanes guard Lonnie Walker IV also signed with adidas.
Young, who won’t turn 20 until September, was a consensus first-team All-American and Big 12 Freshman of the Year during his only season with the Sooners.
The Norman, Okla., native is expected to be one of the top picks in the 2018 NBA Draft, which is scheduled for Thursday, June 21, at 7 p.m. ET.
