There’s hardly anything more impactful in a young athlete’s life than receiving a full-ride scholarship, and Oklahoma’s Myles Tease achieved just that on Friday.
Tease was awarded a full scholarship from coach Lincoln Riley for his redshirt senior year with the Sooners. The Oklahoma athletic department released a touching video celebrating the moment:
Hard work pays off.

In the video, Tease is surrounded by his whole family as he receives the life-changing news. It’s a beautiful moment for the wide receiver, and proof that, as the tweet says, hard work pays off.
Tease transferred to Oklahoma as a walk-on before the 2016 season from Central Oklahoma, but sat out because of NCAA transfer rules. In his first eligible season with the Sooners, the 5-foot-9 wideout from Tulsa, Okla., made 2 catches for 51 yards, including a 46-yard score against West Virginia.
Now, Tease is being rewarded for his efforts.
