Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley has continued to roll out surprises for his team’s spring game.
First, Oklahoma announced it will host a Trace Adkins concert before the game. And now, Oklahoma football announced students will have the chance to enter a contest to kick a field goal for a semester’s worth of free tuition courtesy of Riley himself.

Students can enter to win the opportunity to kick the field goal at Oklahoma’s official student tailgate on Wagner Lawn. The tailgate will run from 10:30 a.m. CT through 12:30 p.m. CT.
Riley has been adamant about a big crowd showing up the annual spring game. It’s a huge recruiting weekend for the Sooners, and the Oklahoma head coach wants 80,000 fans in the stadium to give prospective student-athletes as close to a game day atmosphere as possible.
Offering free tuition — which isn’t cheap — should definitely spark interest.
Oklahoma’s spring football game is scheduled for April 14 at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The scrimmage is set to start at 1:15 p.m. CT after Adkins performs at Owen Field.
