Free time becomes precious late in the summer for football coaches such as Lincoln Riley.
Oklahoma’s new head coach spent time with friends and family on a fishing trip that was posted on his Twitter account.
The highlight of the trip showed Riley grasping what looked to be a humongous fish. It was unclear whether he caught the fish or if it was a prop that boat owners allow customers to use for pictures.
Great time with the guys🛥🐟! Perfect way to recharge 🔋Almost that time…

As Riley mentioned in his tweet, it was a “perfect way to recharge.”
Chances to get away from football will be fleeting for Riley once his coaching work begins in earnest.
He learned from one of the best in Bob Stoops. The former Sooners coach earned a well-deserved reputation among FBS coaches as a boss who allowed his assistants to make time for outside activities with their families.
Riley’s unofficial duties start next week when he speaks Monday at Big 12 Media Days in Frisco, Texas.
Before then, Riley still has a few more days to kick back and enjoy life.
Who can blame him for squeezing as much as he can before life gets busy?
