Oklahoma prevailed in the Red River Showdown once again on Oct. 14 with a 29-24 win over Texas. One Sooners fan came up with a brilliant way of mocking the Longhorns after the win.
An Oklahoma fan in Chicago decided to create a Sooners-themed filter on Snapchat at a pro-Texas bar in the Windy City. The caption: “Boomer Sooner, 29-24.”

The OU Club of Chicago reportedly had a role in the Snapchat filter becoming a reality.
Oklahoma rallied to defeat Texas on a go-ahead touchdown pass late in the game from quarterback Baker Mayfield to tight end Mark Andrews. It was the second straight victory for the Sooners in the Red River Showdown, and sixth in the last eight meetings.
Win or lose, it’s always great to see the spirit of the Texas-Oklahoma rivalry at its full strength. This time, the Sooners came out on top — both on and off the field.
