Oklahoma baseball is moving on up in the rankings after taking 2 of 3 from TCU in Fort Worth, Texas over the weekend.
The Sooners checked at No. 16 in the latest D1Baseball.com rankings on Monday, four spots up from their previous position of No. 20. Oklahoma is off to a 8-1 start in Big 12 play this season and only trails Texas Tech (6) among Big 12 teams in the rankings.
Dual-sport athlete Kyler Murray — who is slated to be Oklahoma’s starting quarterback this fall — kept up his strong performance in Big 12 play with a two home run performance in the series opener on Friday, including this two-run bomb below.

The Sooners won the contest, 8-5. Oklahoma went on to take the series in game two with a 6-3 win before dropping the series finale, 6-2. The Sooners are now 23-11 overall with a three-game series vs. Texas set for next weekend.
