Plenty of Sooners had something to prove at the Oklahoma’s pro day on Wednesday.
All 32 NFL teams were represented in Norman, giving the likes of tackle Orlando Brown and quarterback Baker Mayfield another opportunity to impress scouts.
Brown, who had an abysmal performance at the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine, had a much better showing in Norman. He clocked a 5.63 in the 40-yard dash and 18 bench-press reps — both far better marks than the ones he showed in Indianapolis.
For a few Sooners, it was their first time to test in front of NFL teams.
Wide receiver Jeff Badet stole the show in the 40-yard dash with a blazing 4.27, which was better than any time posted at the NFL Combine.
Du’Vonta Lampkin, who left school early for the draft, didn’t get an NFL Combine invitation like Badet. He impressed with 31 bench-press reps and one of the best verticals of any Sooner.
Oklahoma’s pro day also featured former Oklahoma receiver Jarvis Baxter, who participated in last year’s pro-day event, and former Sooners tackle Christian Daimler, who transferred to Texas A&M as a graduate transfer.
