Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown can move quickly. Just watch him dust this student in a footrace at the Sooners’ spring game in April if you had any doubts about that.
To little surprise, NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread ranked Brown as the 10th-fastest player in all of college football during a recent edition of 18 for ’18.
Here’s what Goodbread had to say about Brown:
“Brown replaced Dede Westbrook as the Sooners’ most explosive wide receiver last year in fabulous fashion, producing 19.2 yards per catch [57 for 1,095] in his first year at OU as a junior college signee. Nicknamed “Hollywood” [he’s from Hollywood, Fla.], Brown has been clocked at 4.33 seconds in the 40-yard dash.”
If you want to see his speed in action, there’s likely not a better showcase of his talent than this explosive 84-yard touchdown catch at Oklahoma State last November (0:56 mark).
See you later.
Brown will be one of the more experienced returners on Oklahoma’s offense this fall. Hopefully, there will be many more performances from the rising junior that mirror his 265-yard, 2-touchdown outburst in Stillwater, Okla., last fall.
