The 2017-18 school year has been incredible for the two biggest programs in Oklahoma athletics.
As of this week, the Sooners football and men’s basketball teams are featured in the AP Top 25 rankings. Oklahoma is one of six schools in the nation to earn that distinction.
What’s more — both teams are ranked within the top 10. Football finished at No. 3 in the final AP poll of the season, and basketball checked in at No. 9 on Monday.
The Sooners aren’t the only ones from the Big 12 to have men’s basketball and football teams ranked in the AP Top 25. TCU joins Oklahoma among the elite.
Six schools are ranked in both the final @AP_Top25 Football Poll and current AP Basketball Poll.
Two of the six are #Big12 schools. 😏

TCU men’s basketball faces Oklahoma on Saturday in Norman, Okla. A win for the Sooners would further Oklahoma’s chances of becoming the lone school in the Big 12 with both sports ranked. The Horned Frogs have stumbled to a 1-3 start in conference play.
