Boren is said to be released “in the coming days and is expected to have a full recovery.”
Boren suffered a minor stroke during Saturday’s festivities at OU, which included the unveiling of a statue dedicated to Bob Stoops. He is 76 years old, and was carted away from Stoops’s statue ceremony after speaking.
Last September, Boren announced that he would retire on June 30, and will be passing the torch to James Gallogly.
