Oregon State’s recruiting for 2019 under new coach Jonathan Smith has been heavily focused on landing the best possible prospects from within the state. So far that’s resulted in three commitments, the latest coming from defensive end Cory Stover.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Stover is the third prospect from the Beaver State to pledge to OSU for 2019, along with 3-star defensive tackle Kelsen Hennessy and 3-star athlete Anthony Gould. Stover, from Coos Bay, is ranked by 247Sports as the 11th-best player from Oregon.
OSU’s 25-player recruiting class in 2018 had five commits from Oregon, but that included the late addition of tight end Teagan Quitoriano in April.
