The recruiting trail has been hot for Oregon State the last few weeks, and Saturday provided another illustration of that. A little after noon PT, Evan Bennett, a defensive tackle for Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif., committed to the Beavers.
“Corvallis here I come! Committed,” he wrote.

Bennett is a 3-star recruit and the No. 99-ranked defensive tackle in the country. He held seven offers, though Oregon State was his only one from a Power 5 conference school.
The 6-foot-3, 315-pound tackle joins an Oregon State recruiting class ranked No. 45 in the country and No. 4 in the Pac-12.
