Oregon interim football coach Mario Cristobal will get a chance to make an impression on eight key recruits when they visit campus this weekend, as reported by 247Sports.
The group will include 4-star quarterback Tyler Shough of Hamilton High school in Arizona. Shough met with former Ducks coach Willie Taggart as recently as Monday.

Shough has said he remains committed to Oregon despite Taggart’s departure.
Mr. Mullens, keeping @coacharroyoTheO , @coach_cristobal , @CoachJimLeavitt and countless others will play a huge factor for some of our commits and #TheMovement18 lives on… Me personally, and some these great coaches are also committed to the University and us as players. pic.twitter.com/TDuJaQfRb0

Per 247Sports: “Other commits on campus this weekend include 4-star linebacker Eli’jah Winston, 4-star safety Jevon Holland, 4-star safety Steve Stephens, 3-star linebacker MJ Cunningham, 3-star linebacker Andrew Johnson, 3-star cornerback Verone McKinley III, and 3-star junior college defensive tackle Mohamed Diallo.”

DuckTerritory.com also reported that 4-star offensive line commit Dawson Jaramillo will be on campus for an unofficial visit.
It’s a key time for the Ducks to lock up their current commits as Taggart’s departure has already led some recruits to change their minds.
Miles Battle, a 4-star wide receiver from Houston, announced Wednesday he was opening up his recruitment.
“Due to recent events, and not knowing where certain coaches will land; my family and I have decided it is best that I explore all my options because this more than a 4 year decision,” Battle said, per his Twitter.”
Battle committed to the Ducks in July and attended a game for an unofficial visit this fall and was scheduled to visit the Ducks next weekend.
Oregon had the No. 6 recruiting class in the country before Taggart accepted the job at Florida State. The Ducks had 24 commitments, including 13 4-star players. However, the Ducks have lost commitments from 4-star ATH Braden Lenzy, 4-star CB Isaiah Boldenand 4-star TE Michael Ezeike in the last 24 hours.

Taggart? Um, not so much.
He lied straight to my dads face in my living room Thursday night. He didn't keep his word to me Monday. Lost all my respect. https://t.co/JIcv7j6YG7

247Sports also reported an update on the coaching search, one that will include an interview with Cristobal.
“I am told Oregon AD Rob Mullens has made two interviews already for the head coaching job, and I believe one of those is Mario Cristobal. I expect Jim Leavitt to get an interview, but I don’t expect Leavitt to get the head coaching job. He’s expected to go to Florida State.”
