The Ducks reached the Final Four last season for the first time since 1939, but lost 77-76 to North Carolina in the Final Four. Three Oregon players were selected in the 2017 NBA Draft, with Jordan Bell, Tyler Dorsey and Dillon Brooks all getting picked in the second round. The top five scorers for the Ducks in 2016-17 have moved on from the program.
Sophomore guard Payton Pritchard is the leading returning player in every statistical category except blocks for Oregon. Pritchard played with the USA U-19 team at the U-19 World Cup in Egypt in the summer and was named to the World Cup All-Star team after averaging 9 points and 3.1 assists per game. The Ducks have four freshmen joining the team, highlighted by five-star forward Troy Brown.
