The Herbert family from Eugene will remain an integral part of the Oregon program for some time now that a second football-playing progeny has decided the Ducks are for him.
While quarterback Justin Herbert may end up turning pro after the 2018 season, starting in 2019 Oregon will have younger brother Patrick Herbert on the roster.

Patrick Herbert is a 3-star tight end whom the 247Sports composite ranks as the No. 390 player in the country for 2019. He’s the 15th-best tight end in the class and the No. 2 prospect from Oregon. He picked the Ducks over offers from California, Florida, Nebraska, Oregon State and Penn State.
Oregon now has seven commitments for 2019, with Herbert the third-highest ranked player in the class. The Ducks’ class ranks No. 27 nationally and first in the Pac-12.
