The Oregon Ducks have lost former U.S. Army All-American offensive lineman Zach Okun due to medical retirement, according to report from 247Sports.com.

Okun, a 6-foot-3, 337-pound center decided to leave the Oregon program after the Monday’s practice, the first of the season for the Ducks.
Taggart confirmed that backup OL Zach Okun is medically retiring from football. He was hospitalized after an injury scare about a year ago.

The sophomore decided to retire due to a previously sustained injury. According to the report, Okun will remain at Oregon to finish out his collegiate career.
