Hines is eligible to play immediately once he decides his next destination. He has one year left of eligibility. The 5-foot-10 wide receiver had 1,496 yards and 13 touchdowns in 36 career games with the Demon Deacons.
The former Wake Forest wideout would be a welcoming addition to the Ducks in the wake of wide receivers Darrian McNeal and Alex Ofodile both deciding to transfer.
Hines has already visited Texas.
