One of the best 2019 high school prospects out west has no plans of leaving that side of the country, at least in terms of where he’ll be playing college football. California, Oregon, Stanford, UCLA and Utah are in the running for the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Jones, who plays for Bishop O’Dowd High School in Oakland. He is ranked as the No. 76 player in the 2019 class by 247Sports, as well as the sixth-best running back and the No. 14 prospect from California.
Jones, who ran for 1,560 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior in 2017, has made numerous unofficial visits to nearby Cal and Stanford. He has yet to schedule any official visits.
