Former Pitt football star Larry Fitzgerald has caught more than 100 touchdowns in his 14-year NFL career. He has caught more than 14,000 yards worth of passes and he’s been selected to 10 Pro Bowls.
But one major goal remains for the longtime Arizona Cardinal wide receiver: Winning it all.
“That’s the only reason I’m playing at this point,” Fitzgerald said Sunday, according to The Associated Press. “From a personal standpoint, things I’ve accomplished, they’re fine. But the thing that you will say is out of your control because you’re in a team sport is a championship.”
Fitzgerald, who played at Pitt from 2002-03, has been on four playoff teams in his NFL career. He played in one Super Bowl, when the Cardinals lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009.
Fitzgerald ranks among the Top 10 all-time in receiving touchdowns and receiving yards.
