Kam Carter already had arrived on campus and joined the Pitt football team by the time Netflix’s popular documentary “Last Chance U” made its way to viewers in late July.
But when it did, it shed the defensive lineman in a less-than-ideal light during his time at East Mississippi Junior College, a powerhouse program where Carter landed after being dismissed at Penn State.
Since he has been at Pitt, however, coach Pat Narduzzi said he has had no issues with Carter.
Narduzzi expounded on Kam Carter/Netflix. Said Carter told him everything that happened on the show, even that he "snapped on a coach" once.

On the show, which filmed its second season during EMCC’s 2016 season, Carter was shown in many negative situations, from swearing at a teacher, to calling female student managers a derogatory term to consistently butting heads with teammates, coaches and his roommate.
But it appears whatever troubles were on display on the reality show have not been an issue at Pitt, where Narduzzi had nothing but good things to say about Carter, including the result of a scuffle at practice recently.
Narduzzi said JC transfer DT Kam Carter got in a little scuffle in practice and apologized to him later.

Carter went to Penn State out of high school in Maryland, but was kicked off the team for a drug-related issue and landed at EMCC.
