Standing at 6-foot-4 and 308 pounds, Hodges is a graduate transfer, so he is eligible to play in 2017. He spent two seasons with the Texas Longhorns after transferring from East Mississippi Community College in 2015. In junior college, Hodges helped EMCC go 12-0 and win a national championship. The Scooba, MS native then redshirted two years ago at Texas and started nine games in 2016.
He doesn’t figure to start for the Panthers, but he will provide depth at multiple positions. The veteran offensive lineman can play both positions on the right side of the line and left guard.
