Former Syracuse basketball player Rakeem Christmas got some new ink Friday, paying homage to his alma mater in the process.
Christmas chose to add a tattoo of the block “S” logo with Otto the Orange in front of it, both of which appear over his old number 25 from his Syracuse basketball playing days.
Christmas played at Syracuse from 2011-15, after which he was a second-round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He played two seasons with the Indiana Pacers, but was waived earlier this summer.
Last year, Christmas played in 29 games and averaged 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
