Running backs coach Mike Hart left Syracuse for the same position at Indiana in March. His salary with the Hoosiers is $300,000 per year, according to Syracuse.com’s Stephen Bailey.
Shortly following Hart’s departure, Orange coach Dino Babers said Hart’s raise at Indiana was “enormous,” per Syracuse.com. The figure was revealed by Bailey via a public records request. Since Syracuse is a private university, Hart’s salary with the Orange is unknown.
“I wasn’t planning on coming to Syracuse and leaving in a year,” Hart told Syracuse.com in June. “But things happen. I enjoyed my time here, I enjoyed my time with Coach Babers. He’s an awesome man. It’s a great staff. I wish them the best.”
Hart starred at Onondaga Central High School, just a few miles away from Syracuse’s campus before playing in college at Michigan and for three years in the NFL.
