College football coaches will use every valuable resource at their disposal. Some of them will even use a legendary basketball coach, such as Jim Boeheim.
Syracuse football coach Dino Babers shared a story at ACC Media Days about how he once asked legendary Orange basketball coach Boeheim to meet with a football recruit.

Babers didn’t reveal whether the Orange basketball coach landed the recruit, but apparently in a pinch, Boeheim is willing to help out Syracuse in any way he can.
In Babers’ first season, the Orange went 4-8, and the schedule is very difficult this season. But there’s a lot of optimism surrounding the Syracuse football program. The Orange’s 2017 recruiting class — Babers’ first in a full recruiting cycle — the Orange were ranked 11th in the ACC and 54th nationally.
Syracuse is ranked 47th in recruiting for 2018 according to the 247Sports composite.
