“What’s up y’all, just had a good day at the combine,” said Williams. “Just got done playing, we got beat but I’m blessed to be out here, and I’ll be back tomorrow.”
Williams helped the Horned Frogs to one of their best seasons in recent memory. Although the season finished short of their lofty preseason expectations, TCU still finished with a 21-12 record and was invited to the NCAA Tournament. They lost in the first round of the tournament to Syracuse, 57-52.
During the record-breaking season, Williams averaged 13.2 points per game, 9.3 rebounds per game, and 3.9 assists per game. He was named second-team All-Big 12 for his efforts.
