The Horned Frogs are the leader to secure the commitment of four-star 2019 quarterback Max Duggan, according to Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports.
Wiltfong writes that Duggan’s recent visit to TCU was a “game-changer,” and that he sees the potential of playing for Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs.
While Duggan would be a solid pickup for the Horned Frogs, they aren’t exactly hurting for quarterback talent. Former four-star recruit Shawn Robinson is already in the house, and is the current leader to take the starting job.
In addition to Robinson, the Horned Frogs have also welcomed Justin Rogers to campus, and there are those in the national media that think he can play right away.
However, you can never have enough quarterbacks, and Duggan would likely be welcomed into the fold with open arms.
Duggan is also considering Minnesota and Ohio State, according to Wiltfong. Both P.J. Fleck and Urban Meyer are great recruiters, and will be tough to beat out, but anything can happen along the recruiting trail.
The Horned Frogs already have seven commits in the class of 2019. If Duggan commits to TCU, he will be the highest rated commit that the Horned Frogs currently posses.
