Mike Leach continues to be Mike Leach, in a way that doesn’t leave any room for satire. If you make a joke about something a little strange that he’s done in the past or will do in the future, it’s likely that the event has actually happened or will happen.
The latest Leach-ism comes from a press conference where Leach admits to tracking a raccoon through the snow, according to a video taken by Theo Lawson of the Spokesman-Review.

“Tracked a raccoon one time through the snow,” said Leach, in response to a question about the strangest animal he’s seen on his walk to work. “I was just curious where this raccoon lived. And there’s fresh raccoon tracks, he had been digging in someone’s garbage. So I followed the tracks. I don’t know if these people know it but he lives right in the back of their house.”
Leach goes on to tell the story of how he walked up on a herd of deer, and the other varied forest critters that he’s interacted with along his walk.
While Leach is not a Disney princess (yet, or that we currently know of), he certainly seems to be in tune with nature in a similar fashion.
