Sterling Galban won’t be able to start his career at Texas Tech as early as he would like, as the wide receiver has suffered a torn right ACL during practice.
Galban broke the news of his injury on Twitter Monday, and said it occurred during a “freak accident” during practice.

Galban early enrolled at Texas Tech in order to get a head start in the Red Raiders’ offense. He will likely miss time in 2018 because of the injury.
The wide receiver from Burnet, Texas, was a 3-star prospect coming out of high school in 247Sports’ rankings. He committed to Texas Tech over schools such as TCU, Iowa State and Nevada. As a junior, he tallied 942 yards and 11 touchdowns on 70 catches.
