Texas Tech-Duke baseball preview
Texas Tech posted 30 runs in three games in its NCAA regional, running through New Mexico State and Louisville twice to advance to the Super Regional round.
Duke’s road wasn’t as easy.
After earning the No. 2 seed at the Athens, Ga., Regional, the Blue Devils lost their opener to Troy before winning four straight — beating the host Bulldogs twice in the final two games.
Texas Tech’s 2018 roster is headlined by first-team All-Big 12 infielder Josh Jung and Big 12 Freshman of the Year Gabe Holt. Outfielder Grant Little and right-handed pitcher Caleb Kilian also will be keys to success for the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech led the competitive Big 12 with five first-team all-conference selections in 2018.
