Texas Tech recruiting got a boost Wednesday with the commitment of 2018 guard Demarcus Marshall.
The 3-star prospect announced his decision on Twitter. He picked the Red Raiders over offers from Colorado, Houston, Kansas, Kansas State and Missouri, among others.

The Grand Prairie (Texas) lineman is listed at 6-foot-2 and 333 pounds. He is the fifth offensive line commit for Texas Tech’s 2018 class and the Red Raiders’ 17th commit overall.
Marshall is the No. 108 overall prospect in the state of Texas for 2018, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. He is the third-highest ranked player in the Red Raiders’ class.
Texas Tech currently has the No. 54-ranked class in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings, and the No. 8 class in the Big 12.
