Texas Tech coaches had been bracing for the loss of senior running back Demarcus Felton and junior linebacker Brayden Stringer after both announced they planned to transfer.
But both players are on the Red Raiders’ post-spring roster released on Tuesday.
Texas Tech spokesman Matt Dowdy told veteran Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reporter Don Williams that both players apparently will be on the team’s roster when it starts practice in August.
Felton rushed for 102 yards in 12 games and made 2 receptions for 13 yards. Stringer recorded 6 tackles and 2 assisted tackles in 13 games for the Red Raiders in 2017.
Both had more significant playing time in previous seasons in Kliff Kingsbury’s program.
