The 6-foot-1, 198-pound wide receiver ranks No. 5 on the Next 25. UT is among 25 programs offering a scholarship to Whittington. He was chosen District 15-4A MVP and earned all-state honors as a return specialist last season.
His speed should make Tom Herman salivate at the thought of working him into his rotation.
Whittington accounted for more than 1,000 yards and produced 6 interceptions last season. He snagged 12 receiving touchdowns and had 4 rushing touchdowns. He also scored on 2 interceptions, 2 punt returns and 2 kickoff returns.
