The Texas Longhorns are headed back to Omaha, Neb., for the first time since 2014. Behind another home run from star infielder Kody Clemens, Texas clinched its spot in the College World Series on Monday, beating Tennessee Tech, 5-2.
In what has been an emotional season for the Longhorns after the passing of legendary coach Augie Garrido in March, Texas is now just a few steps away from a national title. After the game, fans, alumni and media took to social media to express their thoughts on the big win.
