A 6-foot-2, 210-pound athlete, Tongue has excelled on defense but is being recruited as a wide receiver by top programs. Tongue has a high-level football pedigree, as his father Reggie Tongue played 10 years in the NFL as a safety, mostly for the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks.
Texas is joined in Tongue’s top 3 by Georgia and Arizona State. Of the two, Georgia is considered the Longhorns’ main competition, and recent 247 Crystal Ball predictions have had Tongue heading to the Bulldogs.
Tongue ranks as the No. 15 athlete, No. 11 player in Louisiana and the No. 221 overall prospect in the Class of 2019, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
