Connor Williams is on the market in the 2018 NFL Draft, and will soon find his new NFL home.
According to Ian Rapoport, one of the teams who are interested in Williams are none other than the New England Patriots.
Speaking of the #Patriots, they are hosting #Texas OT Connor Williams today, I’m told. With two picks in the first round — and after watching Nate Solder leave for #NYG in free agency — this makes sense to explore.

Williams only stayed at Texas for three seasons, but made a massive impression during those three short seasons. He was named a freshman All-American, and was an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection as a freshman.
As a sophomore, he was a consensus first-team All-American, and was troubled by injuries during his junior season. He elected to not play in the Longhorns’ bowl game in 2017 in order to preserve his NFL draft status.
If Williams proved to teams at the NFL combine that he’s over his knee injury, he should be a first round draft pick. If the New England Patriots are meeting with him, he might have just proven that he’s the same player he was before his injury.
