Shaka Smart reportedly is set to see one of the top talents in Texas.
On Sunday, the Texas Longhorns coach will conduct an in-home visit with Austin (Texas) Westlake 5-star center Will Baker, per Rivals’ Corey Evans.

Baker has visited Texas on numerous occasions and is arguably Smart’s top 2019 target. The Longhorns won’t be without competition for his services, though. North Carolina currently holds four of Baker’s five Crystal Ball projections, and along with the Tar Heels, Kansas, UCLA, and Stanford are factors in his recruitment, among others.
Baker holds 14 offers and has yet to announce a top group. Given his proximity to Texas and how active the Longhorns have been in his recruitment, it’s likely that Texas remains a factor for Baker even if he were to focus on a more exclusive list of suitors.
Baker is one of just three center prospects with a Texas offer, and stands as the only target to date that the Longhorns are actively involved with.
A 6-foot-9, 220-pound prospect, Baker is ranked as the nation’s No. 16 player, No. 5 center and the No. 3 player in Texas, per the 247Sports composite.
